Our Ethical Charter

The Good Feat Ethical Charter

The Good Feat Ethical Charter

At The Good Feat, we believe that meaningful collaboration starts with trust, respect, and a shared sense of purpose.

This Ethical Charter expresses the values that guide our community of humanitarian consultants, development experts, recruiters, and partners.

It serves as a mutual commitment to integrity, inclusion, and professionalism — both within and beyond the platform.

1. Respect and Inclusion

We celebrate diversity in all its forms — gender, ethnicity, background, age, ability, and beliefs.

Everyone has the right to be treated with dignity and fairness, without discrimination or bias.

We are committed to creating an inclusive space where equal opportunities in recruitment, collaboration, and learning are promoted.

2. Transparency and Integrity

We commit to sharing clear, relevant, and honest information in all communications and opportunities.

All matchmaking processes — especially those connecting consultants with one another or with organizations — are based on mutual interest, professional alignment, and ethical intent.

Confidentiality of personal data and proprietary information is always respected and protected.

3. Professionalism and Respectful Communication

Our interactions are grounded in respect, empathy, and open-mindedness.

We value constructive dialogue, transparent feedback, and timely communication.

We reject any form of harassment, exploitation, or unethical behavior in all professional settings.

4. Commitment to Impact and Responsibility

We aim to strengthen the humanitarian and development ecosystem by fostering partnerships that create positive and lasting impact.

We encourage continuous learning, innovation, and accountability toward communities served.

Every contribution — individual or collective — should reflect our shared responsibility to do good, ethically and effectively.

5. Accountability and Continuous Improvement

We hold ourselves and each other accountable for upholding this Charter.

Concerns or ethical questions can be raised confidentially and will be treated with respect.

We are committed to regular reflection and improvement of our practices to maintain a culture of fairness and trust.

6. The Matchmaking Process Between Consultants

Respect and Confidentiality

Consultants' information is shared only for validated opportunities.

The Good Feat facilitates connections between consultants and/or organizations but does not interfere with or claim ownership over collaborations that may continue outside the platform.

We encourage everyone to uphold ethical principles, even in independent professional arrangements.

Transparency of Opportunities

We share all relevant details regarding opportunities (project nature, contract type, duration, and, when possible, remuneration) before connecting consultants.

Some elements may remain at the discretion of the consultant or be discussed privately to respect confidentiality and negotiation needs.

Feedback and Engagement

While the matchmaking volume can be high, The Good Feat strives to communicate updates and feedback whenever possible.

Acknowledgment of receipt and automated responses may be used to ensure inclusive communication.

Freedom and Independence

Consultants are free to explore other opportunities — both within and outside The Good Feat network — without exclusivity.

7. Ethical Obligations

The strength of The Good Feat community lies in shared ethics and mutual respect.

Each member — consultant or recruiter — contributes to a culture of trust and collaboration.

A. For Consultants

  • Honesty of Profile: Share accurate and verifiable professional information.
  • Professional Conduct: Interact respectfully with fellow consultants, recruiters, and partners.
  • Availability and Commitment: Apply only when realistically available and follow through on accepted engagements.
  • Confidentiality: Protect private information and respect the trust placed in shared opportunities.
  • Spirit of Collaboration: Support peers, share insights, and foster a positive and constructive community.

B. For Recruiters and Partners

  • Transparency: Provide clear, complete information about mission objectives, conditions, and expectations.
  • Fairness: Contact consultants only for relevant and validated opportunities, treating all applicants with equity.
  • Feedback: Communicate outcomes or next steps to consultants and The Good Feat when possible.
  • Confidentiality: Handle shared consultant information responsibly and with explicit consent.
  • Integrity: Promote ethical recruitment practices and fair contracting.

8. Community and Social Media Charter

To keep our community spaces — including WhatsApp, LinkedIn, or other channels — warm, useful, and collaborative, we follow a few simple principles:

  • Purpose: These groups aim to share ideas, opportunities, feedback, and support within The Good Feat network.
  • Respect & Kindness: We communicate with empathy and professionalism. Feedback is constructive; disagreements remain respectful. Avoid spam, self-promotion, or unrelated content.
  • Right to Disconnect: To support work-life balance, messages are encouraged during weekdays and working hours only.
  • Confidentiality: Some information shared in the group may be sensitive. Please keep it private and respect the trust of other members.
  • Shared Responsibility: Every member contributes to maintaining a positive spirit and collaborative tone. Repeated disrespectful behavior may lead to removal from community spaces.

By joining The Good Feat community, we each commit to these principles — not as rules, but as a shared compass for collaboration, respect, and impact. Together, we aim to make the humanitarian and development ecosystem stronger, fairer, and more connected.
