Background
Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is an independent and international medical humanitarian organisation delivering emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters, and exclusion from healthcare.
MSF UK- a 3-year grant for emergency nutrition response.
Through this grant we aim to implement an integrated approach to preventive and therapeutic health care for children. This approach seeks to de-silo vertical programming and provide a person-centred approach to health care. We aim to cover all aspects of integrated nutrition activities, including preventative and curative care, complementary to the provision of therapeutic food products- vaccination, malaria prevention, Primary Health Care and Secondary Health Care. By combining nutrition, vaccination, and malaria prevention activities into programming we aim to improve paediatric outcomes and deliver streamlined health services to children under five and their families.
