General

TheGoodFeat is a values-driven community and platform for humanitarian and development consultants.
We connect nonprofits, international agencies, and local organizations with trusted consultants—both independent professionals and small firms—who bring deep expertise, ethical commitment, and a drive for impact.

More than a job board, TheGoodFeat is a community built on inclusion, collaboration, and shared purpose. Every expert is selected not just for their technical skills, but also for their integrity, mindset, and motivation to make a difference.

We are especially committed to elevating national consultants, women, and underrepresented professionals—those whose local knowledge and lived experience are essential to solving global challenges.

Our platform combines human connection with thoughtful technology to simplify the matching process—while keeping people, transparency, and trust at the core.

Joining TheGoodFeat is free and easy. Build your profile and join a network where your expertise is valued—and where every mission supports a fairer, more impactful aid sector.
(See “How to join TheGoodFeat?”)

Joining TheGoodFeat is free and easy — and it connects you to a trusted, inclusive community of experts and impact-driven opportunities.

To become a member, simply create your profile at test.thegoodfeat.com. A complete and up-to-date profile allows for better visibility and more relevant matches.

To stay active in the talent pool, you’ll need to update your profile every six months. This helps us ensure a high-quality, dynamic community where every expert is current and engaged.

Your profile will be visible to recruiters from our partner organizations, but only when you are actively open to opportunities. You remain in control.

If your profile isn’t updated within six months, it will no longer be visible to recruiters — but you will continue to receive job alerts. We’ll remind you before it becomes inactive, so you don’t miss out.

At TheGoodFeat, staying connected means staying visible — and ready for impact.

To maximize your search for assignments on TheGoodFeat—whether you’re an independent consultant or part of a small firm—start by accessing the “Browse Opportunities” section for the latest missions available to the community.

Use the advanced search filters to target assignments by keywords matching your expertise, preferred location (country or region), categories that fit your specialization, and the job or contract type that aligns with your team’s structure—be it long-term, short-term, remote, or in-country.

Set up job alerts within your profile to be notified as soon as new consultancies that fit your criteria are posted. This helps you and your firm stay ahead of valuable opportunities.

Ensure your profile (whether individual or company) is complete and regularly updated, including details about past assignments, team experience, languages, technical skills, and your latest CV or company portfolio. For small firms, highlight collective achievements and the unique strengths of your team.

Craft a clear summary in your profile emphasizing your expertise, values, and impact—whether as an independent or a boutique firm. Revisit your search and profile regularly to keep up with your evolving focus or availability.

By following these steps, you’ll give yourself (or your team) the best chance to be seen, selected, and trusted by mission-driven organizations.

At TheGoodFeat, we believe that building a fairer and more effective sector starts with recognizing and elevating human talent. That’s why we select consultants, coaches, and mentors not just for what they’ve done, but for how they work—with integrity, purpose, and a spirit of collaboration.

We uphold high standards to ensure that every member contributes to a community grounded in impact, ethics, and inclusion. But we also value diversity of experience, and welcome exceptional professionals from all backgrounds.

Consultants and Experts
We welcome independent consultants and leaders of small firms with strong sector experience, ethical commitment, and a clear drive to support meaningful change. Most consultants have 8–10+ years of experience in the humanitarian or development sector (5+ years for tech/innovation roles), along with demonstrable results, professional references, and a collaborative mindset.
We especially encourage applications from national and underrepresented experts—their insight is essential to the future of the sector.

Coaches
Coaches must bring at least 5 years of experience supporting professionals through personal and career development. International credentials such as ICF or EMCC are valued, but we also recognize locally accredited coaches with strong references and a commitment to ethical practice.

Mentors and Senior Peers
Mentors are experienced professionals—generally with 10+ years in consultancy or leadership—who are ready to give back by guiding others. What matters most: their ability to listen, advise with integrity, and support emerging talent on their journey.

In short:
We look for people who combine expertise with purpose—and who are committed to shaping a more inclusive, collaborative, and high-impact consulting ecosystem.
If that’s you, we’d love for you to apply.

At The Good Feat, we believe in the power of guidance. Coaches and mentors play a vital role in building a fairer, more inclusive consulting ecosystem—by sharing their experience, offering support, and helping others grow with purpose.

To join us as a coach or mentor, you should meet the following criteria:

Coaches must have at least 5 years of coaching experience, along with certifications such as ICF, EMCC, or equivalent national credentials. A proven ability to support both personal and professional development is essential, as is a strong commitment to ethical practice.

Mentors typically bring 10+ years of experience in consultancy or team leadership, with demonstrated mentoring capabilities, sector insight, and the desire to support emerging talent. We’re looking for individuals who combine humility, integrity, and a passion for community.

We value not only your credentials, but your ability to build trust, listen deeply, and empower others.

If this sounds like you:

Please send us your credentials and references using the contact form on our website. Our team will carefully review your submission and get back to you.

Together, we’re building a stronger, more ethical, and more human-centered consulting community.

Great to see you taking initiative — that’s exactly the spirit we value at TheGoodFeat!

However, at The Good Feat, we’re a connector—not a recruiter.

We do not manage applications or CVs on behalf of organizations. Instead, we provide a trusted space where you can create and update your own profile—visible to our partner organizations if you choose to make it public.

If you find a consulting opportunity that interests you, please follow the instructions in the listing and apply directly to the hiring organization.

Keeping your profile complete and up to date also increases your visibility for future opportunities shared within the community.

For support on how to strengthen your application or profile, feel free to explore our Career Resources or reach out via the contact form.

At The Good Feat, we do our best to connect you with experienced, ethical, and reliable consultants through a rigorous vetting process. However, as with any professional collaboration, outcomes can vary — and a consultancy may not always unfold as planned.

It’s important to remember that many factors can affect the success of a mission: evolving contexts, lack of clarity in scope or expectations, or constraints beyond the control of the consultant or the organization. A project that doesn’t fully meet expectations does not necessarily reflect a lack of skill or commitment.

Once candidates are selected, it is up to the hiring organization to manage the recruitment and onboarding process, clarify the scope of work, and maintain a collaborative framework. While The Good Feat facilitates the connection between talent and mission, we are not involved in contract management or project oversight, and therefore cannot take responsibility for the outcomes of the consultancy itself.

If any concerns arise during an assignment, we recommend starting with open, honest, and respectful dialogue between parties. You are also welcome to leave a rating and constructive feedback on the consultant’s profile afterward—this helps strengthen transparency and encourage continuous learning across the community.

TheGoodFeat uses robust security measures to protect both organizational and candidate data, in full compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). All personal data is stored on secure servers located in Europe and accessible only to authorized personnel. We regularly review and update our data protection protocols to address evolving security risks and maintain strict confidentiality.

We require all partners to adhere to principles of fairness, transparency, and inclusion at every stage of recruitment. This includes avoiding discriminatory practices, maintaining strict confidentiality, providing clear and honest job descriptions, and respecting all applicants equally. All organizations and consultants commit to a shared code of ethics to foster trust and sector-wide accountability.

To ensure your organization’s recruitment process is both effective and compliant, always use official communication channels within the platform. Clearly outline job expectations, compensation, and decision timelines in your postings and communications. Whenever possible, provide candidates with feedback on their applications. Finally, make sure your team is properly trained on ethical recruitment practices and data security to uphold the highest standards throughout the process.
